Iittala’s Kastehelmi jaris part of the popular glass collection designed by Oiva Toikka. The glass jar comes with a plastic lid in matching colour, and itcan be used in table settings, as acanister for storing food orasa decorative item.
The Kastehelmi collection came about in 1964, when Oiva Toikka explored ways to conceal joint marks in pressed glass. The result was a design featuring rings of delicate glass droplets that resemble dewdrops glistening in morning light. Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop, has since become one of Toikka’s most beloved series of glassware.
